Performance Plus Daily™ is the one product that should be given to all horses, all the time. The other products are given for the first several months (more or less) to increase certain nutrients. For example, if you have a horse that you want to grow a better hoof you would feed Performance Plus Daily™ (to provide all the daily requirements) and add Farrier's Delight (to increase hoof building nutrients) for the first several months. However, you will not increase hoof nutrients for the rest of the horses life. Once the hoof has developed, the Performance Plus Daily™ will maintain those levels. Another example would be a horse with a calcium deposit or bone degeneration, you would give COMPLETE Dense Bone Growth (to increase the minerals needed for bone health). Once the issue is resolved you would continue for three months and then continue with just the Performance Plus Daily™ to maintain the levels.

Apple Cider Vinegar is given to help with mineral absorption and can also help to break down calcium deposits. We feed Apple Cider Vinegar at the rate of one ounce, twice daily.

In most cases we suggest that you use a straight grain like oats; especially if the horse has an existing imbalance that you wish to correct. While we have had customers that have used our products with commercial feeds, it is best to know exactly what the horse is getting and if you are FEEDING vitamins from several different sources you start loosing control over where the balance is. If it takes four months for your horse to come sound, you can feed this for seven months and then just maintain on the Performance Plus Daily™.

Yes, most joint supplements contain Glucosamine and MSM. Glucosamine is a nutrient used by the body to build cartilage and MSM is good for reducing inflammation. If your horse improves with a joint supplement then at least part of the problem is related to that and many of the commercial joint supplements can be fed with our programs.

Because the products are in a powdered form, add water to the feed to get it to stick together. Most horses will readily eat the suggestions we give.

Our horses are put on the FEEDING suggestions as soon as we get them and we have never had any problems. However, if you feel more comfortable switching them gradually, then do so.
