Note: No other supplements need to be given while on this product.  In addition to the bone building properties, this supplement delivers a comprehensive nutrient matrix to address many other aspects of overall horse health.  Horse owners or trainers may consider supplementing 1 scoop of this product twice daily to support stronger bone development as a precautionary measure before these injuries occur.  Take a proactive approach in developing strong bones.

EQUI-BONE  is a unique blend given anytime you wish to improve the integrity of bone. Calcium deposits, spurs, splints, fracture or navicular could be your worst nightmare. If the horse has an existing bone complication, feed EQUI-BONE to increase the supply of bone building nutrients, support metabolic function and increase blood circulation to assure that the nutrients reach their targeted destination successfully.  Customers generally report more comfortable horses in as soon as 3 weeks and stay on the loading phase of the program for about 5 months.  Most competitive riders continue competing during this time.

TLC's EQUI-BONE formula was designed to target the source of the problem, a dietary imbalance which compromises the integrity of the bone and ultimately allows conditions such as navicular, calcium deposits & fractures to develop.   This is done through supplementing the bodies ability to successfully remodel bone, since the body is not effectively doing this on its own.  Other products on the market put the cart before the horse and simply attempt to make the horse more comfortable.  Ultimately this leaves the door open for relapses and further injury since the bone itself is in the same condition as when you started caring for the problem or worse.  Don't continue to cover up the problem.  Feed TLC's EQUI-BONE formula to improve bone integrity and address the source of the lameness.

The most commonly misplaced "therapeutic measure" for navicular degeneration, calcium deposits and fractures are chronic use of joint supplements and injections.  Beware of products comprised primarily of glucosamine, MSM (especially hyaluronic acid or "HA" - an oral joint supplement that we have found to be completely ineffective for any situation) claiming to address bone issues such as navicular disease, calcium deposits or fracture.  These joint products can be of benefit if there is a soft tissue complication contributing to the lameness.  Bone integrity will not be impacted by these nutrients alone since they are designed to aid in cartilage growth and inflammation reduction, neither of which relate to bone density.  However, glucosamine and msm can be a great complement to EQUI-BONE in order to aid in cartilage production and reduce inflammation in the joints.

In reading our testimonials customers actually report experiencing reversal of degenerative bone issues with this product.  This has never been a "selling point" for any joint supplement, because it is does not happen.  People feed these joint supplements for years in a misplaced effort to overcome their bone injury and wonder why they never see results.  Meanwhile, the bone condition continues to deteriorate.

Why is this product different from the competitors?

The difference is in the physical changes that our customers report:

5 Month Navicular Comparison At 2.5 Month Intervals;  Before the Program (Image 01), 2.5 Month X-Ray (Image 02), 5 Month X-Ray (Image 03)

5 Month Calcium Deposit Comparison:  Bone Spur Dissolved on EQUI-BONE

Fracture Comparison on EQUI-BONE (Image 05) - (This specific case was given 4 months to heal "on its own" unsuccessfully.  Immediately after starting the product, customer reported improvements, being cleared for competition within 90 days.)

"X-rays told the tale, the bone spurs were still the root of Fame's problem.  When I left OKC I knew I would never run her again if I couldn't find an effective solution.  Knowing my situation, a friend told me to call TLC before I give up hope.  I followed the suggestions to the letter, today x-rays reveal a clean hock and she is running great" - Tammy Owens

"After diligently following the program for two months, we scheduled another series of x-rays for what would be the ninth week on the program.  This time there was no sign of the navicular hole or the calcium deposits" - Danny Ray

"Doc x-rayed both front feet and determined that the coffin bone was disintegrating, additionally there were several floating chips... Nineteen days into the program I rode him five miles.  He was sound and walking as well as trotting freely with absolutely no head bobbing...  Seven months after starting the TLC program, I had another set of x-rays taken and the doctor said there was no evidence of the floating chips and no further deterioration anywhere" - Lovell Sasser

"Two weeks after I started the program he was sound.  Six months later I had more x-rays taken and the vet said it was a miracle.  The holes on the navicular bone were filling in and there was noticeable improvement in the rooster spurs.  Angel has taken me to the state finals each year, very impressive for a horse that may have otherwise been destroyed" - Kathy Stanifer

"Shortly after the purchase I found Audrey on three legs and as any horseman knows this is not good.  I immediately brought her in and called my vet.  The verdict was devastating, Audrey had broken the navicular bone in her front hoof... I happened to come across your advertisement and called your number for more information... Audrey at one time was a shoe size smaller on the injured foot, now she wears the same size shoe... Audrey's new x-rays came in and my vet had a surgeon verify the results - she has healed completely and is ready to start saddle training.  I could not have done it without your products." - Kay Cox

Feeding Directions:  Give two scoops twice daily for at least 5 months, mixed with feed.  After 5 months maintain with 1 scoop twice daily.  One scoop equals a two oz. measure.

Maintenance:  After the horse has been sound for three months, maintaining nutrient levels is vital.  Do this by dropping the feed rate of this product to half the "loading" amount at 1 scoop twice daily, or feeding Performance Plus Daily continually.  Customers who follow this protocol and continue to supplement the horses health over the long term to protect against relapse of these degenerative issues and reportedly continue using their horses for their respective disciplines with great success.  If you go back to the program you were on before you tried our program, there is nothing stopping the issue from recurring.  Other supplements and "complete" feeds really don't compare... Stay with the program that has brought you the successful results you've been waiting for.

Nutritional support for all classes of horses.

Q.  I HAVE A HORSE WITH "NAVICULAR", HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

A.  You are dealing with a condition which was allowed to develop through a process known as "Bone Resorption".  But if you want to address the problem you have to know through what process bone degeneration(resorption) occurs.

Bone degeneration is a result of bone resorption, a process in which bone cells called osteoclasts break down bone and release the minerals, resulting in a transfer of nutrients from bone fluid to the blood. Osteoclasts are a type of bone cell that removes bone tissue by removing its mineralized matrix and breaks up the organic and inorganic portions of bone, transporting the degradation products away from the area. Bone resorption is stimulated or inhibited by signals from other parts of the body, depending on the demand for specific nutrients i.e. deficiencies in other areas of the body rob the bone of the minerals it needs for repair. Therefore, it is inherently important to provide a proper delivery of bone-building minerals in specific proportions to minimize or even eliminate these effects.  These situations develop over the course of months and/or years.  The underlying pathology will not be addressed without proper management because they are chronic injuries, even if the lameness comes and goes.  Chances are you will never speak to anyone who has had a horse with holes or channeling in their horses navicular bone(s) that just went away one day.  We get call backs everyday from people telling us they didn't believe that their navicular holes would fill in while using this product and thanking us for offering them an alternative when they felt they had nowhere else to turn.

Q.  I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH A CALCIUM DEPOSIT FOR A WHILE NOW.  I THOUGHT IT WOULD JUST GET BETTER WITH TIME.  HOW CAN I HALT OR REVERSE THE PROBLEM?

A. If you have a calcium deposit, or several, that are not dissolving or are getting larger then you need to fix the problem or they will continue to get worse.  These issues have been known to compound and have a "snowballing" effect, progressively worsening over time.

Having a poor diet is related to the development in calcium deposits.  It is a lack of certain minerals, or an imbalance in calcium/phosphorus can trigger these problems(read more in "calcium deposits" section in the column on the left of the page).  Vitamin D is related to hypercalcemia, a condition that raises calcium levels in the bloodstream excessively.  Too much calcium not in the proper balance of other vitamins and minerals, in short, means more calcium build up and over time a larger and most likely more painful calcium deposit.  Ideally, you should eliminate vitamin D from your horses diet.

Q. HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT WORK FOR HORSES WITH FRACTURES OR BROKEN BONES?

A. The healing process is similar to that which takes place for horses suffering from bone degeneration.  This product delivers an abundance of minerals found within the bones themselves which allow them to absorb the nutrients and expedite the healing process.  We have had reports of thoroughbreds with a broken/fractured leg back into racing after 6 weeks on this product.  Thoroughbred race horse owners or trainers should consider supplementing 1 scoop of this product twice daily to support stronger bone development as an insurance policy before these injuries occur.  Take a proactive approach in developing strong bones.
